The de la Torre Brothers: Museum Shows Abound!

Mindy Solomon Gallery artists and brothers Einar and Jamex de la Torre are known for their mixed media works based upon their Mexican-American bi-cultural experience. LA Weekly describes their work as a “raucous parade of unlikely icons, sabotaged masterpieces, reconstituted artifacts and cock-eyed renditions of just about anything you can think of.”

Einar and Jamex de la Torre New Works

Mixed media and glass sculpture artists Einar and Jamex de la Torre capture a frenetic globalization perspective, mixing a unique blend of cultural influences and political positioning, as two brothers share their time between studios based in Mexico and California. The de la Torre Brothers have created a new series of work for the upcoming SCOPE Art Show in Miami—Booth C21—featuring a new series of dimensional wall pieces and glass sculptures. (Tara’s Temple, 48x36x3″ mixed media, resin castings, faceted glass, 2011).

Einar and Jamex de la Torre present glass sculptures that presents the viewer with implications about our daily existence in the world—north of the Mexican border—south of the border—and coexisting in the middle while straddling both sides of the border challenged culturally, religiously and economically. Sean Noyce New Paintings

New York based fine artist Sean Noyce has created a new body of work for the C21 Booth at SCOPE in Miami November 29—December 4. (Above, Squee Flicker, 48×48″ Oil on Wood).

Sean Noyce’s masterfully rendered oil on wood paintings invite the viewer into a dream like world where visual possibilities and highly personal narratives can take hold. Kate MacDowell featured at SCOPE

Fine artist Kate MacDowell responds to the impact of contemporary society on the environment. Kate will be presenting two new pieces at SCOPE made of hand built porcelain and cone 6 glaze titled—Serpentine (featured above) and Assisted Living (please see Kate’s interview here).
